Cool Record Edit Pro

If you have an audio file and you want to edit it, then you need to get the Cool Record Edit Pro application. If you have a video file but you’re only interested in the audio part, you also need Cool Record Edit Pro. And if you want to record audio from the line-in, online radio, or another source, you once again need Cool Record Edit Pro. This is a powerful tool for recording, extracting, and editing audio. On top of that, it can also turn text to speech.

Cool Record Edit Pro is compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system. To install the application on the operating system, you have to download an 18.4MB executable, run it, and follow the instructions presented by a simple setup wizard. When you launch Cool Record Edit Pro, you are presented with a handy “Welcome to Cool Record Edit Pro!” window. I say “handy” because this window presents links to several tutorials – tutorial on how to record audio, tutorial on how to import audio tracks from CDs, basic tutorial on how to edit audio files, and a tutorial on how to connect your stereo equipment to the PC on which Cool Record Edit Pro is installed. The window is also handy because it provides links to turning text to speech, opening a new file, loading audio from CDs, and starting a new recording.

Recording audio is the main piece of functionality Cool Record Edit Pro has to offer. It can record audio from a variety of sources, from a microphone to online radio. As long as you can hear it, Cool Record Edit Pro can record it. Once you have the recording, you can edit it using the application. If you don’t want to record something, you can load an audio track you already have or you can extract audio from video and edit it.

You have 30 days at your disposal to use Cool Record Edit Pro for free. Once this evaluation period is over you will have to get a license to keep using the application. It must be mentioned here that there’s a Cool Record Edit Deluxe version on top of the Pro version; the Deluxe edition comes with extra functionality.
